It feels somewhat sad giving it up, it has served me well from time to time, but there is no hiding from the fact that it is a heavyweight weighing in at over 1.5 kilograms, and i am in more dire need of a sharp lens that covers the area 17-50. So what to spend the money on?
So far i have bought the Manfrotto PROB055 Tripod, with Manfrotto ballhead.
It is the best tripod i have ever tried, by far! No more Velbon for this guy..
Also, the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 XR Dii II seems to behave much more like a pro lens, than the price range where you find it normally would suggest, so i bought that aswell.
That leaves me with a couple of left over $, and i need a new camera bag - with emphasis on bag - not backpack -, so if you have a suggestion for a good bag that can carry a medium bodied DSLR with batterygrip, two lenses and a flash - let me know!
